Wherever I am, let me be!
The Sky is mine.
The windows, the mind, the air, love, earth, are all mine.
What does it matter
if mushrooms of nostalgia
grow from time to time? (Sepehri 58)"
This is Fartash Barvarz; I'm an Iranian Photographer, living in India. I'm doing Photography for more than four years now and I started my career after I left my Country. I know myself as a nature photographer mostly 'Macro Photographer '. Most of the people which know my works, they've seen my macro shots.
When I started to capturing macro shots, It opens an entry to a world that’s unseen by most of people. after sometime I was able to captured more satisfying pictures and I was very happy because that was first time I could see tiny creatures closely. One interesting thing is that before I start shooting insects, I always tried to keep my distance with my subjects, but after having some experiences I found a breathing space around them that I was able to move with confidence and do my work. So my opinion changed about them and I could photograph and be closer to them. The best advantage of macro photography comparing to other fields, though, is that it’s possible any place, any time, any season. There always are a bit of nature that can be photographed. Many years ago, I attended a workshop with the great photographer V.Nagraj. He gave us a tremendous exercise to better see the photo possibilities around us.
I’ve enjoyed being a member of Treknature since 2006-03, I think this is a great society for a photographer in any level to discover and learn precious things about nature and photography. Anyhow the Main gallery which I’ve uploaded my artworks continuously in is Photo.net, not that difficult to guess ha-ha … Currently I’m working on ThePetsPlanet.com more than any project these days.
